This vintage metal wall rack takes the simple silhouette of a deer and turns it into a graphic piece of functional folk art.
The animal is reduced to its essentials: long angular legs, a gently curved body, pointed ears. Beneath it, four individually formed metal hooks extend from a broad mounting plate, each finished with a small pointed cap.
Layers of darkened metal, warm rust, oxidation, and remnants of finish create a mottled texture that shifts dramatically in the light.
Two mounting holes at either end allow the piece to hang on the wall, where it can hold keys, lightweight accessories, towels, or simply exist as the peculiar little creature it is.
Dimensions: 10 ¾ “ W x approx 12” H x 1 ¾ “ dept at hooks
Vintage condition with surface wear, oxidation, finish loss, scratches, and irregularities consistent with age and previous use. Maker and exact age unknown. Mounting hardware not included. Please review photographs carefully for condition.
