This unusual ceramic dish combines a sweeping sculptural silhouette with a deeply recessed circular bowl, creating a composition that feels organic.
Finished in a warm ivory glaze scattered with fine brown speckles, the piece features a beautifully textured surface. A raised spiral winds through the circular well, while the elongated section unfolds in gently curved ridges, incised lines, and small decorative scrolls along its edge.
Viewed from above, the design is botanical. From the side, its profile reveals a more sculptural quality, with graceful changes in height and depth.
The underside is impressed MADE IN CALIF. U.S.A., connecting the piece to California's rich history of decorative ceramics.
Beautiful displayed on a coffee table, console, or open shelf, where its unusual shape and intricate surface can be appreciated from every angle. It could also serve as a decorative catchall for small objects.
